"Frustrating experience overall"
I didn’t have a great time using invent.org. The site felt confusing, and I kept having to dig around just to find basic information. A lot of the pages didn’t explain things clearly, which made the whole process more frustrating than it needed to be. I also felt like I got stuck in a support loop, where I’d look for help, get pointed somewhere else, and still not get a clear answer. Maybe it works fine for other people, but for me it mostly felt like a waste of time.

"Good Team Projects, Even If Instructions Were Sometimes Fuzzy"
I really liked the team projects here. It was nice being able to bounce ideas around, notice how different people approached the same problem, and kind of piece together the best solution as a group. I did start to see a pattern where the projects were more fun when everyone was clear on the goal, but sometimes the directions were a little vague and we had to figure out what was actually being asked. Still, overall it was a good experience and I learned a lot from working with others

"I tried registering on invent.org, it..."
I tried registering on invent.org, it was more frustrating than I expected. A few pages were slow to load, and I ended up having to type in the same information more than once, which made the whole thing feel clunky.
What bothered me most was that the form didn’t really explain what was required. I kept running into errors, but it wasn’t clear what I needed to fix, so I was just guessing at times. To me, it felt like the site hadn’t really been updated with the user experience in mind.
After a while, I just gave up. Maybe I’m impatient, but I don’t think creating an account should take that much effort. It definitely wasn’t the best first impression.

"Helpful for idea research"
Used invent.org to dig into an idea, and it gave me a bit more confidence on what to do next. Took a minute to figure some parts out, but overall helpful. 4 stars.

"Wouldn’t sign up again"
I tried invent.org once, i don’t see myself doing it again. It started off okay, but after a while it felt repetitive and not all that exciting. What really bothered me was that it felt like the goalposts kept moving—just when I thought I understood what to expect or what I was working toward, it seemed to shift. For the amount of time and effort I put in, I expected a lot more. Overall, it just didn’t feel worth coming back to.

"My experience was okay overall, but I did…"
My experience was okay overall, but I did feel like communication could have been better. It sometimes took a while to get a reply, and when I did, the responses felt a little rushed or not as friendly as I’d hoped. I understand staff can be busy, but a bit more patience and warmth would have made a big difference.

"Take-home projects were a bit much"
The take-home projects felt confusing and like way more work than expected. My kid lost interest really fast... so for us, it just didn’t feel worth it
"Quick replies, but still a bit disappointing"
They got back to me quickly and the replies were helpful, which I appreciated. I just felt a little disappointed overall because I expected a bit more from the experience.

"Pretty Good, Though I Had a Few Questions"
The camp was friendly and seemed organized overall. My kid got comfortable faster than I expected, which was a good sign, though I’ll admit I was watching closely at first to see if everything was as smooth as it looked. A few of the rooms got a bit noisy, and I did wonder how well they were keeping things under control in those moments. Still, my kid had a good time, and overall it ended up being a positive experience.

"Good for kids who can mostly handle it themselves"
My 9-year-old actually liked Invent.org, which is always a pleasant surprise with these kinds of sites. The activities were well matched for his age—not too babyish, but not trying to turn him into an engineer overnight either. My 6-year-old did get confused in a few spots, though, so some of the directions could definitely be clearer. Overall, it’s a good program, especially if your kid can read on their own and doesn’t need you translating every other step.
"Really hard to use with a screen reader"
I tried using the site with my screen reader and I just couldn’t get around very well, the buttons were kind of confusing and didn’t always make it clear what they were for and then some pages felt like they were put together in a way that just didn’t make sense, so it ended up being frustrating.

"Not as inspiring as I hoped"
i mean, I was expecting more fresh ideas, but a lot of the stuff felt basic and kind of outdated. The site itself is fine to use, but it didn’t really give me much inspiration as an inventor.

"My kid enjoyed invent.org overall, and there was…"
My kid enjoyed Invent overall, and there was a decent mix of hands-on activities. Some days sounded really fun, especially when they were building things and testing out their own ideas, so it definitely kept them busy. That said, I was expecting a little more variety. A few of the projects felt kind of repetitive or like they weren’t that different from each other. Also, the reminders were a little aggressive — I felt like I was constantly being nudged about forms, updates, or deadlines. It wasn’t a bad experience at all, just more of an okay one than a great one.

"Decent Curriculum, But It Feels a Bit Behind"
I’ve used a few different resources for teaching creativity and problem solving, and invent.org is definitely not the hardest one to work with. The curriculum is easy to follow, and there were a handful of lessons that actually got my students thinking and coming up with ideas. Compared to some programs that feel overly complicated, this one is more straightforward. That said, a few parts felt a little dated, especially when you compare them to what kids are interested in now. I think it would be stronger with more current examples and real-world connections. It’s useful overall, just not something I’d call amazing as it is.

"There were a few moments where I…"
There were a few moments where I didn’t feel all that safe, which is obviously not ideal when you’re just trying to have a normal experience. Maybe it was just me, but feeling uneasy at times isn’t exactly what I’d call relaxing.

"Felt Kind of Cheap"
I don’t know, something about it just felt flimsy from the start. It ended up breaking way faster than I expected, so I was disappointed.

"I had way more fun than I thought…"
I had way more fun than I thought I would. My kids were really into it and kept asking to try more things, which made the whole experience even better, if that makes sense.

"Not really worth the stress"
I expected a lot more from this program. It sounded great before we signed up, but once we actually started, the sessions felt rushed and kind of all over the place. Some parts were fine, but a lot of it just felt like busy work instead of something the kids were really learning from. The instructions weren’t always clear either, so the kids ended up confused often, which made it way more stressful than I thought it would be. For the price, I was hoping for a smoother and more organized experience. Maybe it worked better for other families, but for us it just didn’t feel worth it.

"Good class, but the instructors weren’t consistent"
I’d probably give this 3 stars. My kid did enjoy parts of the class, and one of the instructors was great—really patient and clear with explanations. But another instructor felt kind of rushed and didn’t always seem fully prepared, which made me wonder if the same level of effort was being put in across the board. It wasn’t a bad experience, but I do think the instructor quality needs to be more consistent.
"Total Clown Show"
The whole program was a mess. Schedules kept changing at the last minute, and every time I asked a question, it felt like nobody had a clue what was going on. Embarrassing for something that was supposed to be organized.
